Seaside Cottages at Ginger Hill is a family-run business located in the picturesque town of Lockeport, Nova Scotia. We offer eight charming oceanfront cottages and two beachfront bunkies on two stunning beaches, and we’re currently hiring!
We’re looking for enthusiastic, dedicated individuals to join our team for Housekeeping / Cottage Attendant positions. If you take pride in your work, enjoy providing excellent guest service, and want to be part of a great team, we’d love to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality housekeeping services to maintain Seaside Cottages’ high hospitality standards.
- Clean guest accommodations, grounds, and complete daily laundry duties.
- Use reservation system software for daily tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and equipment.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by exceeding their expectations.
- Work as a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Help with other cottage and property tasks such as painting, watering grounds, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for guest privacy.
Eligibility
- Able to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Independent and self-motivated, yet a team player.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive to guests’ needs.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent guest service skills.
- Cleaning experience preferred.
- Available to work between 9 am and 5 pm, with mandatory weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday) from mid-June to mid-September.
- Preference for candidates who can continue after peak season.
- Must be between 15-30 years of age (as part of Canada Summer Jobs program).
