Cancellation Policies

• All reservations are subject to a $100+tax administrative cancellation fee that will be deducted from your 50% deposit, per cottage or bunkie, per week.
• Peak Season (June – Sept):
  • Deposits on reservations cancelled 60+ days prior to the arrival date will be refunded in full, minus the $100+tax cancellation fee
  • Deposits on reservations cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival date will not be refunded
• Off Season (Oct – May):
  • Deposits on reservations cancelled 30+ days prior to the arrival date will be refunded in full, minus the $100+tax cancellation fee
  • Deposits on reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival date will not be refunded.
• Group Reservations (where 3 or more cottages are reserved)
  • Deposits on reservations cancelled 180+ days prior to the arrival date will be refunded in full, minus the $100+tax cancellation fee, per cottage or bunkie
  • Deposits on reservations cancelled less than 180 days prior to the arrival date will not be refunded.
  • We will not allow partial cancellations, if one cottage in a group wishes to cancel, then it is the balance of the group’s responsibility to cover the cost of that cottage/bunkie.
• We strongly encourage guests to purchase trip cancellation insurance, that might reimburse them for deposits lost, in those circumstances.
• 2024 Reservations: Remaining balance for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of arrival will be charged in full.
• 2025 Reservations: Remaining balance for no-shows or cancellations within 7 days of arrival will be charged in full. 

Groups (3 or more cottages)

• Due to the size of our facility, the proximity of the cottages to each other and to ensure the enjoyment of all our guests, we ask groups to please book ALL cottages as a whole (all cottages on Buchanan Beach, all cottages on Crescent Beach, or all cottages on property) when available. Groups must be discussed and approved by owners well in advance to ensure availability. 
• Guests making separate reservations, under different names without disclosing that they are together, may be asked to leave and will forfeit their deposit.

Minimum Age Requirement

• Guests must be at least 19 years old to rent the Beachfront Bunkies.
• All cottage guests must be 25 or older unless accompanied by a parent. 
• The individual making the reservation and paying for the rental shall also be responsible for the conduct of all persons (guests and visitors) on the rental property during their stay.
• Seaside Cottages is a family-friendly facility. 

Reservations / Confirmation Email

• Reservation requests must be submitted on our website.
• You will be contacted within 48 hours either via confirmation email, or directly if we cannot accommodate your request.
• Due to global industry standard DMARC email policies meant to prevent spam some guests may not receive confirmation emails and responses to contact form inquiries to their inbox. If you are expecting a confirmation or reply and have not received one, please check your junk/spam folders.

While You’re Here

Housekeeping Cottages/Bunkies

• All our accommodations are Housekeeping Cottages/Bunkies, meaning guests are responsible for their own housekeeping during their stay. We ask that you please leave your cottage/bunkie in the same condition in which you found it.
  • Additional cleaning fee may be charged if the cottage is not left similar to the condition upon initial arrival.
• Daily laundry and maid service is not provided.

Check-In & Out

• Check-in time is after 3:00 pm. If you plan on arriving later than 7:00 pm, please let us know. You will receive a pre-arrival email from us the week prior to your arrival. 
  • If you are interested in an earlier check-in time, please contact us in advance to see if this can be accommodated. 
• Check-out time is before 11:00 am (in peak-season we are unable to accommodate late check-out)

Cottage and Bunkie Occupancy

• Cottages: Maximum 4 adults per cottage or a family of 5 including children (2 adults 3 children).
• All cottages must have at least one adult (25 years or older) occupant.
• Bunkies: There is a maximum of 2 adults per bunkie or a family of 3 (if it is a young child).

Vehicles / Parking

• Cottage have sufficient parking for 1 or 2 vehicles. 
• Kindly let us know in advance if you have more than two vehicles. Please do not park on the lawn.
• Bunkies have parking for 1 vehicle. 

Visitors

• Out of consideration for our guests, our neighbours and our facilities, please refrain from entertaining visitors while staying at Seaside Cottages. Please contact hosts to obtain approval for daytime visitors. Thank you for abiding by our policy.
• Only the number of guests indicated on the reservation are allowed to stay overnight.

Noise & Quiet Hours

• While excessive noise is not permitted at any time of the day, between the hours of 10:00 pm – 7:30 am we have quiet hours
  • During quiet hours, music, loud conversation and noisy campfires are prohibited.

Campfires & Fireworks

• Campfires are only allowed on the beach. Fire rings can be made from nearby rocks.
• Fires are NEVER allowed during burn bans or in extreme wind.

• Never leave a fire – Fires must be attended at all times.
• Please keep fires small.
• Due to the potential fire hazard and out of respect for our other guests, WE DO NOT PERMIT FIREWORKS.

No Smoking Policy

• All of the buildings at Seaside Cottages are non-smoking. Smoking (cigarettes, cannabis or vaping) is not permitted inside buildings. We ask that you be respectful of non-smokers and not smoke near any cottages/bunkies. An additional $250 cleaning fee will be applied, should smoking occur within the cottages/bunkies or littering of cigarette butts on the property. 

• Please be mindful of the ocean breeze and smoke well away from buildings and other guests. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Damage Policy

• A pre-authorization of $250 may be due upon arrival and released 3 days after departure if no damages have been found.
• Any significant damages from pets or people will be charged to the card on file.

Beaches

• There is no lifeguard on duty. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
